Board of SupervisorsThe District is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors who serve three-year terms. Supervisors are elected by a vote of the landowners based on parcel acreage. Administration and StaffThe daily operations of the South Indian River Water Control District are overseen by the Executive Director, Superintendent and Office Administrator who manage a crew of skilled operators that maintain the roads, canals and swales with graders, back hoes and other heavy equipment, as well as a part-time office assistant.

District MapSouth Indian River Water Control District covers over 12,400 acres or approximately 20 square miles, with 189 miles of paved and unpaved roads, 60 miles of canals, and 376 miles of swales.
