Notice of Annual Meeting of Landowners of South Indian River Water Control District

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Landowners’ Meeting of the South Indian River Water Control District will be held on September 17, 2026, immediately following the monthly Board of Supervisors meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the Stephen J. Hinkle Work Center, 15600 Jupiter Farms Road, Jupiter, Florida, as well as though Zoom video conference. Special remote directions regarding meeting access will be posted on the District’s website www.sirwcd.org or can be obtained by calling the District office. 

The Annual Landowners’ Meeting will be for the purpose of:

  1. Electing one (1) Supervisor for a term of three (3) years. The Supervisor to be elected at this time may not reside in the District but must own land in the District and reside in Palm Beach County. 
  2. Receiving annual reports and taking such action with respect thereto as the landowners may determine. 
  3. Setting compensation for the Board of Supervisors. 
  4. Transacting any other business as may properly come before the meeting.

Following the election, any interested Landowner may examine the ballots under the supervision of the Supervisor of Elections. Any objection to the election must be filed in writing by a Landowner with the Board of Supervisors no later than one (1) week from the date of the election. If a person decides to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered, a record of the proceedings will be needed for such purpose and said person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. This record shall include the testimony and evidence upon which any appeal is to be based.
